Grow Older, Go Stupid

Watching Balika Vadhu now-a-days is nothing less than a torture. Earlier, the teenage Anandi was fun, quirky, intelligent, thoughtful, bubbly and had a individuality. She was definitely a cry baby, but she wasn't dumb. The Anandi of today, is downright dumb and an emotional wreck... The Romance in heart, truly overpowers her thinking and clouds her judgement like a level 9 Twister, no getting out of it... She has turned into this hubby-clinging, support-grabbing shadow of her former self, who was fearless, and wasn't afraid of new things. The older illiterate Anandi is a mere slice of the education-hungry child, who was once more capable and smart than her husband Jagdish.

It's not really the actor's fault, but writer's. They have given a new horrible personality to a lovable kid, making her meek, scared, unsure of herself, clinging, dis-oriented, and what not.. Ugghhh.. Totally disappointing.
