Bus Travails

How exciting is going from Pune to Indore in an air-conditioned box on 4 wheels?

Believe me, there are no bounds, how far your fellow passengers will go for in-bus entertainment! My 2 fellow Hans Travels passengers selflessly chose to provide inanimate and not-so-subtle fun by whipping out a Mac and playing songs on it, along with loudly enquiring all their friends about the Great Party Scene at Pune that they missed! Awww, why didn't you stay back to fulfill your weekend and then travel!

Also, the so-out-of-tune karoke was just enough to jolt me out of my waking sleep.. By the way, what is this song, "tera mera rishta purana.." Do you mean if we don't have any rishta, you'll continue to torture me, and others?

Seriously, how expensive are those head-phones? Which you clearly are unable to buy! And mister, Freedom of Speech doesn't have to include me knowing all your travel plans! Now if any one had to kidnap you, all they have to do is intercept you on your way to Bhopal from Indore, from where you'll take your Shatabdi.. Easy as a pie!!

Clearly, I have no respect for such people, and even though I don't know you, you successfully managed to make me judge you!! With no rhyme or reason, all because you didn't have headphones!!

3 two cent's worth:

  1. u wont believe but people..as in lecturers listen to music loudly in paper valuation hall!! it is so disturbing and irritating. I feel like gifting them headphones!

  2. Hehehe - such a vivid description...your frustration is dripping through.
Your write ups are always awesome...love reading them.
Btw, on a lighter note, you should probably buy the headphones for yourself, to cut out unwanted noise & enjoy your "waking sleep" & the sounds of silence :-)

  3. Reema, I would be so ashamed if someone offered me headphones...

Nons, worthy thoughts, but the discomfort is too much.. I can't bear the weight on my head or tiny pods, poking in my ears.. :D
