Surreal, but nice!!!

Truly, this Notting Hill phrase, is the first of the many adjectived phrases that come to my mind. Multifaceted environment, alternate realities, skewed perception, it's all there, but in a very comforting sense... The subject here is the silver screen wonder called INCEPTION; which literally mean The Beginning. It's surely a beginning for roller coaster of visual excellence, a maze of emotions, and a delicate balance of realities. For me, the movie had many surprises.. Unexpected performances, for once...

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the baby-faced love-struck Cameron of 10 Thing I Hate About You, was unexpected transformed into a suave, smooth Arthur. His "Killshot" was on TV the day before, and I hadn't recognized him till the end credits rolled by. He was just superb in the Zero-Gravity Fight, and lend his own boyish charm to Arthur..

Ellen Page was surprising subdued and I was expecting her to be more talkative, more hyper, more enthusiastic, she delivered, nonetheless..

Leonardo DiCaprio has proved him time n over again.. When I first saw him in "Whose Eating Gilbert Grape?", I had no clue, it would be the making of an intense actor.. He puts well, the dilemma and helplessness of Cobb, troubled with himself and Mal.

Tom Hardy is a good mix of amazing looks, accurate comic timing and some ease with the character.. I have his RocknRolla, and I am waiting to start that.. His banter with Joseph-Gordon Lewitt creates the epiphany of the delicate balance Christopher Nolan has tried to maintain amidst the chaos of dreams and realities.. The movie certainly demands your entire attention, with multiple layered dreams, crisp narrative and some mind-numbing situations.. Your mind races back to a point, gathering references, to apply in near future to understand what is happening on the screen.. I am still finding clues to Mal's inception on Cobb; How did she do it? and where are hidden clues to prove it was a dream... For all those who watched Memento multiple times, just to keep track of the narrative, this is much simpler but ever more engaging...

p.s. Cross you fingers for quiet, avid cinema-lover neighbours in the movie theatre; Otherwise, their distractions would surely spoil the fun for you...
